Before you buy

Concentration, volume and how long it lasts

Fragrance strength is a matter of concentration, not price. These four points cover most of what people ask us.

  1. Attar is oil-based and undiluted. A little goes far further than a spray; applied like a spray it will be overwhelming.
  2. Eau de parfum is alcohol-based and lighter per drop. It projects more at first and fades faster than an equivalent oil.
  3. Volume is stated in millilitres on every listing. A 6 ml attar roll-on and a 50 ml spray are not comparable by price alone.
  4. Heat and light degrade fragrance. Store away from a sunny windowsill; we do not claim a shelf life beyond what the supplier prints.
